Amelia's Ear Piercing!

My good friend Hope pierced Amelia's ears today. I was so excited to get her ears pierced. The poor baby was so happy and smiley before it all started. She didn't know what was coming! Once Hope shot the little earning into her ear, Amelia started bawling! It was the saddest little cry. She cried for just a short time then was back to her cute smiling self.

I like she looks adorable with her new little pearls!! I'm not looking forward to all the sly remarks about babies with earnings.....

Amelia Is Three Months!

I was holding Amelia this morning and realized that today she hit the big three month mark! She is getting so much fun. All you have to do is look at her and she'll give you one of her great smiles!! She's discovered her little hands and loves to look at them. She is also quite the little talker. She gets so pleased with all the different noises she makes and she loves it if you mimic her sounds.

Poor little baby has a double ear infection. You would never know she was sick. She is still smiley and happy. She isn't a big fan of her medicine and spits it out all over her little chin and chest. She has the cutest little raspy cry. It brakes my heart knowing she's not feeling good!

I'm so happy she is sleeping through the night. She usually goes down at 9:30. She'll wake up at 6 to eat and then go back to sleep until 7:30 or 8:30. I love getting her out of bed in the morning. She gives me the best smiles and her little legs and arms are moving like crazy!

Sara describes Amelia the best. She always says that Amelia is the baby you imagine having when you are a little girl. She is seriously the best baby. She makes me happy just thinking about her! Take a look at that little butt and all it's dimples. And those cute little saddle bags!!

Date to the Movie Ater

Tonight was so sweet, John took Eleanor out on a little date! John has always wanted to take Eleanor to the theater he grew up going to. Its the little theater on Main St. in American Fork or as John called it growing up, the Sticky Shoe Theater (Sticky Shoe comes from all the spilled pop on the floor).

Eleanor was beyond excited for her date. I set out some clothes for her, but she told me she could not be beautiful in jeans and a t-shirt so she picked out a dress and her "Dorthy" shoes. She also had to have a clip in her hair and her makeup on.

When we pulled up to the theater we didn't think about it being a holiday and how everyone in Utah County also was going to this theater! John and Eleanor stood in line for the 3 o'clock showing but once they got up to buy the ticket, they only had 5 o'clock tickets. To pass two hours we all headed over to Costco and Petsmart. While we were waiting John asked if I just wanted to come along with them. Eleanor overheard us talking about it and informed me that I was NOT invited!! So, I dropped the two off at 5 and Amelia and I headed over to Target and Old Navy.

I was so excited to pick them up and hear all about the movie. John walked out of the theater carrying Eleanor and I figured she had fallen asleep. When I asked her if she fell asleep she said no, but John told me she was out within 30 minutes.

Even though she didn't stay awake the entire movie, they both had a great time! John said Eleanor was so excited and was loving all the attention. They already have their next date planned...and I'm pretty sure I'm not invited!

HELP!!

Sunday Afternoon

We had a great Sunday! After church we went downtown to look at the new Goldman Sachs building, drove around the temple and Salt Lake, met Sara and Dick for lunch at the Red Iguana and enjoyed the rest of the day at home going through old photos, reading books and making cookies! I seriously love my little family and enjoy being with them!

Best Friends

We got to have our cute little niece, Katelyn, spend the night with us while her parent's are in Hawaii. Eleanor and Katelyn are just one month apart. It was so funny listening to these two play for two days. One second they were best friends and hugging, and the next one was threatening to not play with the other. I don't think I have ever heard so much tattle-telling or giggling in all my life!! I pretty much let them take over the house for the two days and by the time it was over, there wasn't a toy left in Eleanor's room!!

I tried to get these two little girls to let me take a few photos of them and they REFUSED!! They were being such pills!! I'm not thrilled with the two I got, but at least it will hopefully help them remember their two days together!

P.S. I owe Katelyn BIG TIME! Thanks to her, Eleanor is now interested in dolls. A few months ago Katelyn came over with her doll and ever since then, Eleanor has been playing with her dolls. Thank you, thank you!

My little helper...

This is just one example of how great Eleanor is with Amelia. She loves changing Amelia's diaper and always takes all the dirty diapers to the garbage for me. If Amelia is crying, Eleanor is right there trying to take care of her. Amelia loves it when Eleanor lays down and talks to her or hugs and kisses her. Just last night Eleanor totally picked Amelia up off the floor and held her on her lap. (I made sure to tell her this is something she can ONLY do with me right there!). It really has been nice having a second little mom around the house. I'm just waiting for the day Amelia gets a little disciplining from Eleanor. That's going to be fun...

Amelia the china doll

I bought this sweet wig at Build A Bear when Eleanor was first born. I was so thrilled when John found it tonight. I only wish I would of had it at the hospital and sent photo of her wear the wig! I love how the wig makes Amelia's checks look even chunkier!

My two little gems!

I seriously am so grateful for these two little girls! They were both quite the troopers today while I hauled them all around Utah County today. I rarely make it down to Orem, and when I do, it's a must to stop by the photobooth.

Amelia's two month appointment.

I feel bad, I was three weeks late for Amelia's two month appointment. I remember with all of Eleanor's appointments, I was there right on the day!

Amelia was so good at her appointment. She was smiling and cooing to the Dr. and all the nurses were in love with her chubby cheeks and thighs! Here are her stats:
Length: 24"
Weight: 12lbs 12 oz
Head Circ: 39.5

I'm so happy she is healthy but sad is growing like a weed!

Passports

The little girl's passports just arrived! Now we just have to wait for John's visa to get here and then we will be off to England!

Beans

Today was Eleanor's first day of Primary. All week I'd been prepping her, telling her she was going to be a Sunbeam and that she no longer has to go to nursery. Sunday morning I woke her up and she asked me, "Am I going to Beans today?". It took me a little bit to figure out Beans meant Sunbeams.

Eleanor was a little timid when I took her to her class in open exercises, but by the time I picked her up from her class, she was excited! She was so cute! She wanted me to come into her classroom so she should show me the drawing she did and show me all the kids in her class.

On the way home from church I was asking her all about it and she told me, "It wasn't scary at all. There weren't any scary monsters or anything like that".

I still can't believe she is old enough to be in primary. I hate how time flies by!

Amelia's Blessing Day

Amelia was blessed on January 1, 2010 in Gilbert, Arizona. All of my family was there and John's parent's came down from Utah. We blessed her at Amy and Davey's home and John gave such a sweet blessing. She was wore a dress that me and my sister wore as a babies. Of course, Amelia was perfect for her blessing. We are so grateful for this little girl and we lover her SO much!!
